Meeting poll: find the date that suits everyone
Offer a few dates or times, share one link, and let everyone say which ones work for them. PollIt counts the answers as they come in and highlights the best date. Nobody needs an account, and there are no ads.
How it works
- Pick the dates on a calendar. Leave them as whole days, or add times: one set of times copied to every day, or different times and lengths in the same poll.
- Give the poll a title, and a place or a video-call link if you like. Then share the link in a chat, by e-mail, as a QR code or through your phone's share sheet.
- Everyone opens the link and answers yes, if need be or no for each option. A name is enough; nobody signs up.
- The table shows who can come when, with the best options highlighted. When you pick the final date, everyone who left an e-mail address hears about it, and anyone can add it to Google, Outlook, Yahoo or any other calendar (.ics).
Ways to answer
- Yes, if need be, no: people can say that a time is possible but not ideal. This is the default, and usually the fairest way to find a date.
- Yes or no: each time is simply possible or not.
- Only one time each: every person picks exactly one option. Use it to give each participant their own slot, or for a 1:1 meeting where the first answer books the time.
Anyone who can't make any of the dates can say so with one click, so you know they have seen the poll.
How the best date is chosen
For each option PollIt counts the people who can come: those who answered yes plus those who answered if need be. The option with the most people comes first; when two are level, the one with more plain yeses wins. The totals can show the if-need-be answers separately, so you see at a glance which date is a comfortable fit and which is only possible.
You decide when the poll is done, or let it decide by itself: with the first answer (for a 1:1), or as soon as everyone you invited has answered.
Settings you can use
- Time zones: each participant sees the times in their own zone, or everyone sees the same local time for an event in one place.
- Your calendar next to the options: anyone can show their busy times from an .ics file or a calendar address and fill in their answers from it. The calendar is read in the browser and never saved.
- A limit per option (first come, first served) with a waiting list, and a limit on the number of participants.
- Names visible to everyone, only to you, or no names at all.
- A deadline that closes the poll by itself, a password, and personal invitations that show who has opened and answered them, with reminders.
- Comments, and participants suggesting more times if you allow it.
- Notifications in the browser or by e-mail when someone answers.
Good for
Team meetings, a 1:1 with a client, dinner with friends, a club evening, a parents' meeting, a family celebration or a reunion. The templates Team meeting, 1:1 meeting and Dinner or party have the right settings ready. If you would rather have everyone mark all their free hours than answer a few fixed options, try an availability poll.

A PollIt meeting poll works the way you know: dates as columns, people as rows, ticks in the cells. On a phone the table turns into a list that is easy to tap through. See how PollIt compares with other poll tools.
